Inspector Programs
Inspector Types
Inspectors are certified by DSA and then approved to work on specific projects. DSA certifies several types of construction inspectors. The links below will take you to information on Application, Testing and Recertification for the following Inspector types:
- Project Inspectors - Project Inspectors are part of the DSA Field Program. DSA certifies and approves inspectors for specific projects. They are usually hired by a School District. Project Inspectors are responsible for continuous inspection of all aspects of construction and for monitoring work done by special or assistant inspectors.
- Masonry Special Inspectors - Inspectors with specific knowledge of masonry materials or techniques.
- As of January 1, 2012 Relocatable Building In-Plant (RBIP) certifications will no longer be issued. All Class I inspectors and inspectors on the approved RBIP list will be eligible for RBIP inspections.
- Exams and procedures for Shotcrete (Pneumatically Placed Concrete), Relocatable Building In-Plant (RBIP), Pre-Stressed Concrete, and Glulam inspector programs are currently being updated; information will be posted here when available. Please contact the Inspector Unit for additional information.
