DGS Director Fred Klass was among the dignitaries on-hand today as the Capitol Area Development Authority broke ground on the East End Gateway project at 16th and O Streets, Sacramento.

Through its Real Estate Services Division, DGS has been working with CADA the past three decades to implement the Capitol Area Plan. Today’s event is another example of how CADA is turning state-owned properties into vital housing and thriving retail.

When completed next year, the project will feature 84-apartments and 13,000 square feet of ground floor retail.  Read a CADA press release about the project.
