Renewable Diesel R-99 and Biodiesel (B5 and B20) contracts provide contracted pricing to the State of California in accordance with the requirements and have lower carbon intensity than conventional diesel. Because this commodity is made from renewable resources it is considered an environmentally preferable purchase.

Buying Tips

When buying diesel fuel ensure that the commodity is inspected and tested according to the methods specified in active standards, including:

  • ASTM D5453 for sulfur,
  • D5186 for aromatics and
  • other test methods specified in ASTM D975
