Disposable Food Service Supplies

Image of Dishes

Disposable food service supplies (e.g. dishes, utensils and napkins) have a one-time use. The consumption of these products can accumulate into a large portion of the state’s landfill. By purchasing biodegradable and compostable food service supplies, the state can substantially reduce its environmental impact on its landfills.

Green Contracts

These contracts offer biodegradable and compostable food service supplies (plates, cups, hinged clamshell containers, food trays, lunch boxes, and napkins) as well as products with postconsumer recycled content. Purchasing biodegradable and compostable food service supplies allows the state to reduce landfill disposal.

These contracts may be open to Local Governmental Agencies as defined by Public Contract Code Section 10298. Click on “Buy Green Now” to view the Contract User Instructions for further details.

These contracts offer SABRC compliant line items. View the contract for complete details.
