WHAT: 

The State and Consumer Services Agency and Department of General Services will host a workshop to provide information to members of the news media about Green Buildings and LEED-certification for commercial building construction.  Experts from the State and private sector will provide presentations regarding:
               • Governor Schwarzenegger's Green Building Initiative
               • The economics of Green Building and the value of LEED-certified for new and existing buildings
               • How California's programs match up with those in the Los Angeles region and nationwide

A tour will also be available of the CalTrans building, one of California's first LEED-certified buildings, which has received a LEED Silver- New Construction rating.
