When: Friday, October 19, 2007 Where: Department of General Services (The Ziggurat) What: The California Department of General Services, the County of Sacramento and the Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency (SHRA) will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), promoting reciprocal small business certification at the October 19, 2007 at the Sacramento Regional Connecting Point Conference in Sacramento. The agreement streamlines paperwork for small businesses to be eligible for contracting process of all entities. Who: Rosario Marin, Secretary, State and Consumer Services Agency About DGS: The Small Business and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise Certification Programs were established to increase business opportunities for the DVBE and SB communities with the State of California; thereby stimulating the state's overall economy. The programs are designed to help DVBEs and SBs participate in a more level playing field with certain advantages when competing against other non-DVBEs and non-SBs for state contracts and purchases. |
