The Statewide Travel Program (STP) assists government travelers' needs by obtaining the most economical rates and fares available through the use of contracted travel-related services. By leveraging the state's total travel spend, the state gains the advantage of the best pricing model available.
The program is also extended to the following government entities:
- Special Districts
- California State Universities
- California Community Colleges
- K-12 Public School Districts
To participate in the program and benefit from the contracted travel-related services, you must be enrolled in the program. Contact the STP staff (PDF) for more information.
Effective immediately, the Department of General Services is eliminating the California Meeting Management Program (CMMP) and CMMP staff are transitioning current meeting and event workload back to you, our client agencies. Additional information is included in the attached memo from the Office of Fleet and Asset Management Chief, Brent J. Jamison. If we are working with you on a program, we will contact you directly to ensure a smooth transition occurs.
On all future events you will need to work closely with your own Contracting, Procurement/Purchasing, Business Services and Accounts Payables Offices. We urge you to be proactive in contacting them now to work out a process. Please don’t wait until the last minute. Below is a list of attached resources that may be helpful.
